Owen Snyder is the mechanical manufacturing and car assembly supervisor for Dallara (the chassis supplier to the NTT IndyCar Series). He also does race track support. Prior to joining Dallara, he worked for a number of different racing teams and organizations as well as with some great racing drivers. Two Indianapolis 500 victories are just part of what he’s experienced first-hand. In this interview (conducted in the technical inspection area of the 2023 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach), he shares some of those experiences with us, and the behind-the-scenes aspects of who and how they made it happen. A true legend of the sport of Indy car racing and one of the most humble and forthright people you’ll ever want to meet. Enjoy!

Owen Snyder is a friendly and knowledgeable guy you’ll find in the paddock area of the NTT IndyCar Series.
Our interview with Owen Snyder in the Long Beach arena took place during the 0600 hour and he looks happy to have a cup of coffee on hand! Behind him is the Dallara race car of David Malukas. It needed a lot of parts after a crash the day prior to our interview. Snyder is just the guy to talk to when it comes to that!
