Jacqui Lessick is one of the nicest people you’ll meet in the NTT IndyCar Series paddock. She can also be found in the paddock of all of the support series to IndyCar. Typically, she’s there as a support to her husband, Chuck (who is a chaplain with IndyCar Ministry), however lately she’s been reaching out to the women in racing who vary from drivers, engineers, wives, and more. Sometimes it takes a woman to really understand what other women are experiencing in their lives away from home in this traveling circus known as professional auto racing. Jacqui has just the right demeanor, knowledge base, and more to assist in helping to support these women. In this interview, she breaks down how this all came about, what her role is, and looks into where it’s going.  Enjoy!

NOTE: This is the second in a series of interviews of women for www.raceshool.com and our “Women in Motorsports” month of September. This has now become an annual tradition. We’ll hear from women with various roles in the motorsports industry from team owners, drivers and more. Check back weekly to find out who’s next!

An engaging and friendly smile along with a sincere positive demeanor is how you’ll find Jacqui Lessick if you happen to bump into her at an NTT IndyCar Series event weekend.

IndyCar Ministry chaplain Chuck Lessick is Jacqui’s other half. The two have been together for many years and understand racing and the stresses and challenges it places on the people who work in this industry. They are a shining light couple and always a pleasure to talk to at the race track.
